The eighth season of Game of Thrones is here, and we are in the calm before the storm. The show has been building for eight seasons and is now moving into the North, where we find the lands of Winterfell and King's Landing. However, Cersei is still alive and well in the North. Luckily, there are still plenty of plot twists and exciting scenes ahead. In this Game of Thrones HBO recap, we'll take a closer look at the major plot developments and events of the episode.
The eighth season of Game of Thrones is in full swing and the premiere of season eight was filled with a number of callbacks to the first season. As the season premiere titled, "Winterfell," we saw King Robert Baratheon come to Winterfell to pick up Ned, the Hand of the King. We also saw a reunion between Jon Snow and Lyanna Stark.
"Game of Thrones"' season finale dubbed "The Long Night" brought the epic Battle of Winterfell to its end. The episode opens with sombre faces in the dark. The first to engage in battle are the Dothraki, but they soon succumb to the army of the Seven Kingdoms. Daenerys Targaryen makes use of her dragons to light up her dead soldiers, and the battleground quickly turns into an icy wind.
Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen arrives at Winterfell. Bran Stark reveals that the Night King has breached the Wall and is advancing northward. Sansa is worried that combined forces will overstretch their supplies, but Cersei has not yet declared an army. The battle between the two armies continues. Ultimately, Jon and Tyrion have to choose sides and decide if they can live together or fight for one another.
The latest episode of Game of Thrones featured a battle between the two siblings: Jaime Lannister and Cersei. They are twins and Jaime is the younger sister of the late King Robert Lannister. Their relationship started when Cersei cheated on Joffrey with a servant and was eventually fatal to the Lannisters. Cersei swore revenge on Jaime after her brother's death, and the two fought for the throne.
Cersei, who lied to Jon to get him to send an army to Westeros, actually has the upper hand. She has Euron Greyjoy's fleet and 20,000 additional soldiers in the form of the Golden Company. She has the numbers to wipe out all of the survivors. Besides, she will also kill Euron.
In this episode, Ramsay leads a covert attack on Stannis' camp to destroy the siege equipment and food stores, and kills many horses. Jaime and Cersei then return to King's Landing, leaving Jon and his companions to protect the Wildlings. In addition, Prince Doran allows Jaime and Bron to bring Myrcella back to King's Landing with Myrcella. Cersei also pardons Myrcella.
In the seventh episode of the tenth season of the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones, Catelyn saves Jaime from Daenerys and brings him back to her side. But how can she do this? Read on to learn the twist and find out what's next! Here are some of the most intriguing details about this episode.
A scene in the episode features the return of Catelyn and her sister Lysa, who are the sisters who rescued Jaime from the clutches of the Dragon Queen. The episode also features a heartbreaking moment when Catelyn reveals her true feelings for her son. She also makes the decision to place Tyrion in sky cells as a punishment for his failure to rescue his cousin.
The episode also follows the events of Season Six. Robb Karstark sends Theon to Pyke, which is the home of Balon Greyjoy. He is informed of the destruction of Winterfell and the disappearance of Rickon and Bran. Robb is also told of the betrayal of his sons. Roose Bolton comes to the rescue and offers to rally the Ramsay Snow force in order to retake Winterfell.
In the latest episode of the popular HBO show, "Game of Thrones," Missandei and Grey Worm make plans for after the war. Missandei tells Grey Worm that she wants to go to a tropical island south of Essos, which Grey Worm intends to do. Grey Worm promises to be by her side until the war is over and then return with her.
Ahead of the battle, Euron and Rhaegal obliterate several ships. Missandei is saved by Cersei, but the two find that she is just a trash human. In the aftermath, Cersei knocks Missandei's head off. The two plan to work together and try to end the war.
On the other hand, Grey Worm and Missandei make a plan for after the war, but it doesn't seem to work. They end up being a bit too romantic for the characters to get along after the war. While Grey Worm and Missandei are making plans for after the war, they do not exactly make good sense.
The episode begins with Jon Snow winning the election to become Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. This despite the opposition of Tormund and Sam. Jon orders Janos Slynt to repair the castle, but the former refuses. The Night's Watch then executes Slynt. The Night's Watch will need to be rebuilt in order to fight the White Walkers.
While waiting for Mance to signal their arrival south of the Wall, Ygritte insists that all three arrows hit their marks. Jon may have survived if it hadn't been for Ygritte's shrewdness. Tormund, who knows Ygritte's skill with a bow and arrow, asks her about Jon and his loyalty to the Night's Watch.
Ygritte and Tormmond grill Ygritte about the Night "Watch." As expected, the two women share their fears of the Night's Watch. While Tyrion's actions were unjustified, the two women disagree about what they should do next. Tyrion's response is a slap from his father and Tormund's hand, which Ygritte rejects.
In the latest episode of Game of Thrones, we see a new fad - the Assassins of Kings Landing. The Black Throne is in the process of being re-established and the Assassins of Kings Landing are on the prowl. King Robert's illegitimate children have been murdered by the Gold Cloaks, and they're determined to stop it. However, the Assassins of Kings Landing have their eye on Sansa. This is a reversal of fortune for both Sansa and Bran.
In a Game of Thrones HBO recap, Sansa learns that one of the Assassins of Kings Landing is Ser Gregor, the leader of the Night's Watch. He's a cruel man and he's responsible for Sandor "The Hound" Clegane's disfigured face. His cruel actions are well documented.
In the next episode, "The Ghost of Harrenhal," one of the five kings vying for the Iron Throne is killed. King Robert's illegitimate children are killed by the Gold Cloaks, leaving hundreds of slaughtered Northern prisoners in their wake. The women's fates are in the hands of the Gold Cloaks, and King Robert's illegitimate children have lost their father.
Season 7 of Game of Thrones is almost over, but one episode is worth waiting for. This episode featured a huge battle between the Night's Watch and the Wildlings, as well as the death of Ygritte in Jon's arms. We also learn about Pyp and Grenn and Samwell Tarly. Plus, we learn about the fate of Tyrion's special saddle for Bran.
While this episode didn't have a particularly dramatic plotline, it is filled with lots of twists and turns. We see Ned and his children make their way back to King's Landing, as does a fight between Tyrion and Jaime. We also see a first meeting between The Hound and Euron. Meanwhile, Tyrion and Jorah drift through the ruins of old Valyria.
This episode also features the first ever reunion of Ygritte and Jaqen H'ghar, a non-violent character who was rescued by Septon and his followers. Sadly, this reunion is ill-timed and unsatisfactory. In spite of the pretty reunion, the two characters still have a long way to go before they can come to an agreement that's beneficial to both of them.
