DVD ShrinkでDVDを取り込む方法

今回はDVDをデフォルトで取り込む方法をご紹介します。（片面二層ディスクを一層に圧縮してISOイメージファイルに変換する方法）※二層ディスクを圧縮せずに取り込むことも可能です。

1.　DVD Shrinkを起動して、DVDをドライブに挿入します。

2.　ディスクを挿入したら、画面左上の「ディスクを開く」をクリックして、ディスクをひらき、自動分析を開始させます。

3.　分析が完了したら、画面右の「ビデオ」欄を「自動」にして、画面上のバックアップを起動します。

YouTubeやニコニコ動画といった動画共有サイトの登場により、新しいジャンルの一つとして「MAD動画」が生み出されました。MAD動画とは、映像と音声が一緒になったもの全般を指します。「音MAD」は、本来、音のみで構成されたものを指しますが、動画共有サイトは映像ファイルのアップロードのみに対応しているものがほとんどなので、音MADといいつつ、映像や画像を伴うものが多く掲載されています。

MADという英単語には、「気の狂った、ばかげた、無謀な…（英和辞典・和英辞典Weblioより）」という意味があります。現在動画共有サイトで見ることのできる音MADを含むMAD動画の定義は、「既に存在している素材となる映像・音・画像を収集し、再編集を行って、まったく異なる作品へと変化させたもの」を指します。言い換えれば、「二次創作物」です。

なお、ニコニコ動画には、現在99,709本ものMAD動画および音MADが掲載されています。

音MADを作成する際の注意点

音MADを構成する材料となっているのは、「既に存在している映像、および音声や画像」です。この説明を目にした時点で、察しがついているかとは思いますが、改めて解説します。

「既に存在している」というのは、「世の中に公表されている」という意味であり、個人が発信する動画や音声ファイルだけでなく、映画やミュージックビデオ、公共の電波を使って配信されているもの（テレビ・ラジオ）、広告なども含まれます。

映像や音声には、当然著作権が存在します。ディスクの場合は、本編が開始される前、公共放送の場合は本編の冒頭箇所に、字幕で注意喚起を促す文面が掲載されているのを見たことがある方も多いでしょう。

以下に、テレビ放送とディスク版にて確認できる、実際の文面を引用掲載します。

“インターネット上でのテレビ番組の不正利用が多発しています。番組を権利者の許可なく配信することは法律で禁じられていますのでご注意ください。”

“この著作物は、家庭内での個人的使用に限り使用を許可されています。その全部であると一部であるとを問わず、それ以外の「使用」は法律で固く禁じられています。（以下略）”

音MADをこれから作りたいと考えている方にとっては、嬉しくはないお知らせとなりますが、法律は守らなければなりません。

一方で、朗報もあります。著作物には保護期間が定められており、著作者の死後70年を経過したものには、著作権が適応されなくなります。著作物が映画の場合、団体名義となっている場合、無名や変名によるものである場合も、公開から70年後が保護期間の及ばないところとなります。ミュージカルなどの実演は、実演が行われた後、レコードは発行された後、それぞれ70年が保護期間となります。それ以上が経過すると、著作権利が消滅します。

映画で例えると、黒澤明監督の野良犬（1949年）、ハワード・ホークス監督のヒット・パレード（1948年）などが該当します。

音楽に関しては、デジタル化が進み、音質の劣化もほとんどない状態の音源を、個人がダウンロードし、媒体への記録や再生を行うことが自由にできるようになりました。しかし、レコードの発売日が、データ配信開始日へと置き換わっただけで、著作権法上は、レコードと同様に70年の保護期間が設けられています。

英語表記ですが、日本語パッチを設定することにより、表記を日本語に変更することができます。日本語パッチを読み込ませる方法は、起動したREAPER画面のどこでも良いので、ファイルをドラッグ＆ドロップさせるだけです。

「（省略）Language?」というウインドウが表示されますので、［OK］をクリックして、一度REAPERを終了し、再起動すると日本語パッチが適用されます。

ご自身の判断にお任せしますが、利用にあたっては個人的にあまりお勧めしません。

音MADの作り方

今回は、音声のみの音MADの作り方（エフェクト効果なし）についてご紹介します。

用意するものは、先に紹介したDAWソフト（今回はREAPERを使用）と、フリー素材の背景曲と音声です。

1. https://www.reaper.fm/download.php にアクセスして、使用しているパソコンのOSに応じて、REAPERをダウンロードしてインストールします。

2. REAPERを起動させて、まずは背景曲となるファイルを読み込みます。［挿入］＞［メディアファイル］を選択、もしくはファイルを直接REAPER画面内(灰色の部分)へドラッグ＆ドロップします。読み込みが完了すると、タイムラインに音が鳴っている部分が波形となって表示されます。

背景曲を追加した部分は、トラック1と呼びます。このトラックは、トラック2、トラック3と重ねていくことができます。

［挿入］＞［トラック］を選択して新規トラックを作成し、音素材を追加していきます。トラック1以外の空白にファイルをドラッグ＆ドロップして、トラックを増やしていくこともできます。

新規トラックを追加せずに［挿入］から［メディアファイル］を追加すると、同じトラック内に読み込まれてデータが重なってしまいますので、注意しましょう。

3. 追加したい箇所の冒頭部分に、（データの再生開始位置を指示する機能）を充てておくと、開始位置を調整する作業が不要になります。あとはひたすら、シークバー背景曲の波形と重なるように、音素材を並べていく作業となります。

DAWを使用される方の多くは、BPMを重要視します。BPMとは、Beats Per Minute.の略称で、ここでは曲のテンポを指す言葉です。タイムラインにBPM線を表示させることにより、配置する音のつなぎを自然なものに近づけることができます。

トラックに追加された音素材の波形の塊を、クリップと呼びます。このクリップの両端部分をドラッグすると、クリップが延長されます。延長されたクリップの内部では、クリップの長さだけ、波形が繰り返されます。なお、［ALT］キーを押しながらドラッグすると、クリップと波形が、同時に引き延ばされます。再生すると、間延びした音になります。逆に縮めると、再生速度が上がります。

4. 調整として、クリップ内の不要な空白時間を削除しましょう。クリップ内の空白開始、および終了部分にシークバーを合わせた状態で、右クリックし、［カーソル位置でアイテムを分割］を選択します。空のクリップと、波形のあるクリップとに分割されたことを確認します。空のクリップを選択し、［Delete］キーを押すか、右クリックして［アイテムを削除］を選択します。

5. 調整と素材ファイルの配置がすべて完了したら、パネル左中央部にある三角の再生ボタンを押して、全体を確認してみましょう。

6. プレイヤーで再生させる場合は、レンダリングによる書き出しを行います。［ファイル］＞［音声ファイルにレンダリング］を選択し、詳細設定を行います。

7. ウインドウ下部に[出力形式]とありますので、汎用性の高いWAV形式を選択し、［1個のファイルをレンダリング］をクリックします。レンダリング完了のウインドウが開きますが、こちらは、そのまま閉じてしまっても構いません。

出力されたファイルを、プレイヤーアプリで再生させてみましょう。無事再生が出来ましたら、音MAD作成の作業完了です。

音MADの作成は、非常に根気のいる作業です。MAD映像や音声の多くは、特定のユーザーに向けて発信される、嗜好品や娯楽のようなものだと思います。その分、一度魅力に気づいてしまった人は作業時間などを忘れて楽しんでしまうのかもしれません。
